This site is supporting the Dutch Domain Driven Design user group. Yes we know, a Dutch user group with English content. We are writing our content in English so non Dutch speaking people living in the Netherlands can join as well. An advantage is that people outside The Netherlands can read the content as well.

Why a Dutch Domain Driven Design user group? We got inspired by the New York City user group and by Eric Evans. The NYC user group has a pretty active member group that comes together regularly to talk about different domain driven design related subjects. We decided that we want something for the Netherlands as well. We are very enthusiastic about DDD and have written a few blog posts about it on gridshore.nl. We have experience with projects designed and implemented the DDD way. Now we would like to share our knowledge and learn from others' experience with DDD. By creating a community, we can make this sharing a lot more effective. Together with the other user groups we can create a world wide network, who knows what that can lead to.

What are we going to do? At the moment of writing, we are still making plans. Some ideas we liked from the New York City user group are:
- (bi-)monthly meetings
- actual cases from members
- experiences from experts
- Book reading/discussions
- Open forum
